The community of Owasso, Oklahoma, is mourning the tragic death of Holden Wayne Cothran, a 20-year-old man involved in a violent incident that culminated in his own death. According to deputies in Rogers County, Holden Cothran was engaged in a series of criminal acts, including kidnapping his 17-year-old girlfriend from Tulsa, assaulting a Good Samaritan who tried to intervene, and firing four shots at his girlfriend — all while driving toward Inola. Miraculously, she was not hit and was able to escape.

The situation ended when law enforcement officers pulled over Cothran, and he then took his own life after the vehicle stop. Both the girlfriend and the Good Samaritan were hospitalized for their injuries.

Sheriff Scott Walton confirmed that the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, which has deeply affected the local community. Friends and family are mourning the loss of Holden, expressing grief and requesting prayers during this difficult time.
