The community of Mission is mourning the death of Sheri Welch, a beloved mother, friend, aunt, and cherished member of the community whose passing at the age of 33 has left loved ones heartbroken.
Born on May 26, 1992, Sheri was remembered by family and friends as a deeply loving and compassionate woman whose strength and warmth touched countless lives. Emotional tributes shared online described her as the “best mom,” “bestest friend,” and someone who constantly supported the people around her through life’s hardest moments. One close friend recalled Sheri being there during pregnancy news, offering reassurance and reminding her that becoming a parent would bring “the greatest love you’ll ever receive.” Those are the kinds of conversations people assume they’ll have decades to remember together. Life, meanwhile, keeps operating like it lost the instruction manual centuries ago.
Friends also remembered Sheri for her beautiful spirit, loyalty, and the deep love she carried for her family and children. Loved ones described her as someone who made people feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for no matter what they were facing.
A memorial service honoring Sheri Welch will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Parkside Church in Mission, British Columbia. As tributes continue pouring in, those closest to her say her memory will live on through the love, guidance, and kindness she shared so freely with everyone around her.
